Hi everyone Grin
Im prepared to try anything! I sit here with my travel wrist bands on sucking a preggo pop praying for something to ease my 24/7 sickness but nothing seems to help. I had tablets from doctor which made me worse but she wouldnt try a different one telling me "pregnancy is not a illness" nice.

Tried ginger biscuits, mint tea, preggo pops, acupressure bands ect.
Im open to suggestions and have a pen and paper ready Smile

Hate to say it but there is nothing that takes it away - I only stopped puking with HG once the cord was cut. The thought of preggy pops even now, ugh.
You will feel worse if you are dehydrated , so get checked out regularly . If you can stomach even a few sips of dioralyte it will keep you going. Try and eat tiny amounts and regularly - I had salty foods , Granny Smiths and lemon vitamin water as things that I could eat.
I begged my consultant for a stemetil injection to get through my sisters wedding Grin but in the end , cyclizine took the edge off.
Hope it passes for you soon !

I posted about this this morning :) if you find the nausea/morning sickness post in 'pregnancy' some lovely ladies had some wonderful suggestions that are all worth a try. Some are the same as you mentioned but there are a few extras!

Hellohellohowareyou · 24/10/2014 16:33

Cyclizine and being admitted to hospital were the only things that helped me I'm afraid. Just found out I'm preg with dc2 and crapping myself about having HG again so if anyone knows of any miracle cures please let me know!!! I have been taking vitamin b6 as studies show this can prevent sickness being as severe but I'm only a few weeks at the mo and already feeling rough!

What are these preggo pops???

U may find some useful info on a blog/website called spewing mummy

Hello, they're something called preggie pops. You find them on Amazon or ebay. I haven't tried them yet but another mumsnetter said they helped a bit :)

Hellohellohowareyou · 24/10/2014 16:43

Thanks I may bulk buy them just in case Grin

You're welcome! I think I will too! On eBay you can buy chewy versions too. They're pretty expensive but if they work they're worth it!

ladylala28 · 24/10/2014 17:12

I see no difference between them and sherbert lemons if im honest. Im trying b6 next

i was SO ill both pregnancies.
the only thing that helped was to keep eating.
eat before you get up, carbs carbs carbs.
never let your blood sugar drop.
btw i only put on 10kgs incase you're wondering!

clover83 · 24/10/2014 19:52

If you find out, let me know. Thankfully no actual vomiting here, but 24/7 nausea has taken over my life. Medication is helping a bit, but mainly I'm just waiting it out.

hlc123 · 24/10/2014 20:58

Ondansetron has been my saviour, it hasn't taken away the nausea completely but I feel so much better

imisssleepandwine · 24/10/2014 21:38

I feel your pain, I had really bad all day sickness with both of mine.
Eat little and often
Keep sweets, nuts, fruit (whatever you can manage) in your car and bag.
Eat something before you get up, carbs or something with sugar is best.
Try to sleep as much as you can, the more tired I got the worse the sickness.
Vitamin B6 tablets
I found passion fruit helped as did chewy sweets!
Fizzy water also helped clean my moth after I was sick.
something to smell I had an essential oil in my bag and took a whiff each time a horrible smell came my way.

good luck, I have a 6 week old at the moment and all these pregnancy issues are a distant memory. plus it's totally worth it!

bubalou · 24/10/2014 22:22

I'm 8 weeks with dc2.

My last pregnancy was over 6 years ago with minor sickness.

I however have only just started getting better after 2 weeks literally in bed heaving and throwing up constantly. I've lost 5lbs since getting pregnant and literally ate only toast, jelly and crisps for those 2 weeks as everything else made me sick. Confused

I was 1 day away from going to the doctors to ask for some cyclizine but I had a slightly better day. The one after that was better too and the one after that I was feeling almost normal for about 70% of the day. That was a week ago, I'm still sick sometimes but eating and drinking well and feeling so much better.

If it went back to that again I would be straight to the doctors because I swear NOTHING I tried worked. No ginger tea, biscuits, lollies anything.

Really hope you feel better soon. Thanks

Urgh I'm 17w and still got nausea - actually vomited this morning. I find it's worse if you're tired and worse if you don't eat regularly. Salty rice cakes help me. Anything salty. I also find Coke helpful.
I feel sick at night too-anyone else?
