When did your bump drop?

I'm 39wks today and my bump is still really high - Everyone keeps telling me that 'I'm not ready to go yet' which is grating on me.

When did your bump drop? Was it indicative of when your labour started?

Thanks!

Nope, I think it's one of those " old wives " tales

Lot of nonsense

Mine dropped at 34 weeks, I'm currently 37 and all it has meant is that I walk like I have a melon between my legs and breathing is a hell of a lot easier!

I'm 39+3 and mine doesnt look any different yet! Last week my midwife said the baby's head was 2 5ths engaged and I can feel her head pushing onto my cervix, so I don't think everyone visibly drops.

Mine still hasn't - 39+ 4 here. V curious to know the answer to your questions myself!

It didn't drop either time.

Glad I'm not the only one then! Was 1/5 engaged last week and seeing MW today so will see what she says - have been getting a bit more pressure and cramp like pain in my pelvis so hopefully that means baby is going in right direction!! X

I'm 37+4 and my midwife says I'm not going to drop. She thinks it's to do with the condition of your muscles and how you carry your baby, everyone is different! I am sick of people telling me I am going to drop any day now!

Mine didn't, and I went over 42 weeks. Was still causing breathing and heartburn issues right up to and including being in labour. I had ranatidine given to me in the last hour of labour.
