hi all im new here so please forgive me if I've posted in the wrong section.
Im 14 weeks and 3 days and my body is feeling amd looking very much like it did before i started ivf. My tummy has reduced in size my breasts have gone down a bit but not back to their original size and ive hardly had any cramping for a few days. I am starting to worry so hoping to hear some similar stories that will put my mind at ease x

Not everyone suffers horribly throughout pregnancy. I'm 32 weeks with my second now and besides some evening sickness with this one, I wouldn't have known I was pregnant with either. Completely symptomless which was a huge worry because of a missed miscarriage with my first pregnancy.

Try not to worry, you've probably just lost some of your initial bloating and are settling into pregnancy now. If you're really worried then speak to your midwife but I'm sure everything is fine Smile

I had ivf and am now 24 weeks, I have felt great all the way through, never had any morning sickness or anything. I'm more tired by the end of the day but that's it, I feel like my normal self! Make the most of it!

sara I'm 18+3 and felt and looked normal from 14-17 weeks. I have still only gained 4lbs but I think that is totally normal (as is gaining 14lbs). Try not to worry! Good luck and congrats!

Hi ivf can cause swelling and if you have stopped pessaries etc there can be a gap when feel smaller until bump starts growing. I found this with my ds. Was your dating scan ok - hopefully that will reassure you and you should have a midwife appointment around 16 weeks also?

sarabobs89 · 19/10/2014 17:11

dating scan was fine. it did put me a day ahead of what i should be but that's not an issue. i have a midwife appointment at 18 weeks then my scan at 20 weeks. to keep me ticking over ive booked a private scan for week 16

I had no pregnancy symptoms either last time or this. Apart from my now massive bump and midday naps, still feeling pretty good. Sounds like you may have gotten away with it too. Congrats and good luck.

Another IVFer here with very few symptoms throughout, I'm 36 weeks tomorrow. No morning sickness or food aversion, just a little tiredness which cleared up about 12 weeks and bigger boobs. 12 to 30 weeks felt completely normal, since 30 weeks the extra weight is catching up with me a bit but I'm still feeling pretty good. Try to enjoy it if possible and congratulations!!!

I know it can be really frustrating and I actually did a similar post about 12 weeks as my symptoms like bloating and nausea had gone down so I wanted to know what to spot next!

Like they replied, and as it turned out, there wasn't anything much, but I'm now 18 weeks and I can undeniably feel my uterus just below my belly button, starting to move up and out from my pelvis and giving me a bit of a firmer bump (rather than just pushing up the fat!) - just like all the week-by-week guides say it will. It's amazing to feel it there and so large.

I think after previous troubles (IVF, miscarriage, etc.) we are a lot more needy (speaking for myself here) and need more emotional support. It can be hard when you feel good but I'm sure yo'll be kicking yourself later when future symptoms starting popping up or out

Best of luck xx

I had ivf too and experienced the same around that time. I posted about it then and was assured it was normal. A couple of weeks
later my mini bump appeared. Try not to worry. As all was well at 12 weeks you have a very, very good chance of a take home baby.

Starsmum75 · 20/10/2014 03:06

If your cramps were similar to slight period pains then as far as I know, that's your womb growing, just like how it swells on a period. On all my 3 pregnancies I had them cramps for the first few weeks then no more. Be patient and you will soon feel pregnant again in one way or another.

FastWindow · 20/10/2014 03:21

'normal' pregnancy here too. By four/five months you will see the real bump, not just the bloating (if you had any to begin with) don't believe the hype, not all pregnancies make you look like a heifer from day one (just mine) Grin

Whatever you look like... That's normal. Pregnant women tend very much to look pregnant, at some point...
