I say that to my DH too, generally at 2am and it's usually KFC lol

purplebiro · 17/10/2014 15:37

Oh man. Been veggie for 4 years and I really miss KFC.

I'm with you on this. DP has nipped to the shop, requested a kfc which is much further than shop. But my baby needs it so I can't do anything about it!

Wolfbasher · 17/10/2014 15:38

My midwife ordered me to have sticky toffee pudding every day for the first 3 months after birth. She said it would be good for my milk.

She was right btw. DS appreciated it :)

Memphisbelly · 17/10/2014 15:40

Damn you purple I have just returned from asda and you have made me realise my baby also needs steam pudding and custard!

My baby needs a daily prawn cocktail crisp sandwich at the moment but now it needs pudding!

purplebiro · 17/10/2014 15:46

I am LOVING the sticky toffee pudding supplement wolf, I think my baby might need that too.

Generally this baby seems to only want really healthy food so far so I am very grateful it's decided to have a Friday night treat.

That said, pre BFP we were on holiday in the land of gourmet seafood and gorgeous fine dining and I craved birds eye potato waffles with cheese on top which I am very pleased to now be able to blame on t'baby and not me being a brits on tour ingrate.

VirtualPointyHat · 17/10/2014 17:26

I'm not pregnant, but now have a horrible feeling my future DC need me to be pre-prepared with steamed pudding and custard

MissYamabuki · 17/10/2014 17:31

DS is 3mo. I'm stuck at home BF, at the texting-dinner-demands-to DP-who's-at-work stage Grin

Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 17/10/2014 18:32

My baby demanded chips at lunch time so I had to eat them and the sandwich I had bought Grin

Memphisbelly · 17/10/2014 18:57

I have bought a sticky toffee pudding (to feed 4) for myself and dh once ds is in bed.....and a pack of Rennies to help it go down afterGrin

bagofsnakes · 17/10/2014 19:41

Baby seems to NEED a fair amount of ice cream, especially of the white chocolate and raspberry variety. Steamed pud and custard sounds mighty fine too, I wouldn't turn it down.

bagofsnakes · 17/10/2014 19:42

DH won't bring be anything but fruit and veg, he ignores all of my demands and makes me well balanced meals consisting mostly of veg and wholegrains. DH just doesn't get it.

Memphisbelly · 17/10/2014 20:14

Bagofsnakes......get rid of him....he needs to understand what baby needs is calories Wink....I remember in my last pregnancy I couldn't keep on any weight after 30 weeks and doc was so shocked by how I was losing it as i was eating and wasn't ill and he said custard, cakes and ice cream between healthy meals to keep my weight up.....I had a daily order from shop of 2 custard doughnuts for last 10 weeksGrin

Sometimes I feel sorry for my DH, he had food demands almost every day, but then I remember that I'm the one carrying the child and with a career of a Chef he's pretty much asking for it (right?).

As a fussy pregnant woman with my food, he has to take my requests to actually get me to eat it, although in honesty I do take advantage a teeny bit, with all the requests for anything meaty and lots and lots of custard!

DrBlondie · 20/10/2014 23:51

Now craving sticky toffee pudding and custard! Well, if you can't indulge a little when pregnant, when can you!

Cirsium · 20/10/2014 23:56

Mine demanded a cheese and jam sandwich to go with vegetable soup at lunchtime. I was at a friend's house, she was very understanding. Blush

Bellyrub1980 · 21/10/2014 00:43

YANBU if you divorce/seperate from your DH/DH if they insist on bringing you 'healthy balanced' meals everyday. Only we know what the baby needs through instinct. If that happens to be covered in melted cheese or melted chocolate that is not our fault.

Pregnacare will sort it out.
