How do you sit in the bath, or don't you?

Genuine question!

I can get in and out the bath, I can lounge, but how do you 'sit' e.g. to rinse your hair?
I'm 26 weeks and a bog standard size 14 and I always thought I had quite a compact bump but after over indulging on cake at the weekend, I'm pretty sure I've 'popped' and baby is well and truly now on show. I'm now finding it difficult to sit comfortably in the bath whilst balancing the shower hose / shampoo my hair. Do I have to admit defeat and stand up to rinse or can you offer any contortionist alternatives? I love my baths!

Could you tilt your head backwards?

I rarely wash in the bath (I have a shower every morning - a bath is a warm place to read rather than a wash!) but if I do then I slide down the bath on my bottom so I can dip my hair under water with my face left clear at the surface. If I needed to wash my body I'd kneel in the middle to lather, then lie down to rinse.

Like Pisghetti I only use the bath for relaxing - use the shower cubicle for "cleaning"
The saddest thing about the bath is though that now bump has popped (I'm 28+5) it doesn't fit under the water and I have to use a flannel to keep bump warm while I'm in the bath! Sad

The image of 'Sitting in a bath' makes me think of Grandpa Broon sat in front of the gas fire in a metal bath tub complete with scrubbing brush.

I just lie right back, and when pg with DS I did the flannel thing too!

I used to sit on the edge of the bath, legs akimbo and bend forward so the hose was running on the back of my head and hair all hung down around my face. But then I always wash my hair "upside down" because it's pretty long and I don't feel like I can get underneath it properly if I'm right way up when I wash it! even in a shower, I have to bend over.

When the bump got too big and I got too fed up, I admit I went to the hairdressers a few times just to get it washed Blush

Oooh I hadn't thought of a flannel! Suffered from 'chilly bump' this week (I'm only 18 weeks though Shock )
