Anyone going or been? Are the discounts really good?

Didn't think much to the discounts - nothing that you couldn't already get online. But it did find it useful seeing a lot of baby products all in one place and being able to handle 20 prams in one place.

Ps don't pay full price for your ticket - there's loads of discount codes for them.

We got a bargain with the tickets as booked them ages ago - £10. I'm excited about going.

We bought our pram there. Got a good deal including car seat.

I found them really good as you have a lot items under one roof and you can try out different products also get advice from different retailers!

I didn't go this time but with my first we bought the car seat there and got a discount for being at the show.

One tip: if you are really interested in an item, for example a car seat, ask a lot of questions and then in front the rep look at DH/DP with a face "oh I'm not sure. Maybe we should think about it ... Etc" as the person is tired of seeing so many people during the day and they don't want to carry everything back to there store, they sometimes give you an extra deal.
That is what I did with our car seat and got an extra % off.
But, it might not always work Grin

We went on the last Sunday of the event. They flog all the display stuff right at the end of the day, literally just as they're packing up. Haggling seems to work a treat when they'd rather flog it than put it back in the van. So you have to plan ahead.

More than anything I found the show useful to be able to see what's out there face to face and have a play. I used 'google shopping' to check out the cheapest online prices for anything I was interested in. Some stuff was much cheaper (The Kiddiecare stands are good value but a bit jumblesale-esque) but other brands you can easily get for the same price by shopping around online.

So I would definitely go, but purely for the opportunity to touch and play with all the products. But not necessarily to buy.
