I think beung older does help my mum got none at 37 but I got some on my lower belly at 23 which faded well. I'm hoping at an aged 30 I might get away with less.
What we need is some brave volunteers to cover one side if tummy with cream and one side without.

I spent over £100 on bio oil from 12 weeks and it did sweet fa.
They did fade well but I think that was just because I was young.
I bet if you cover half of belly with bio oil and half without you will get the same result.

I had the worst stretch marks on my stomach, hips and top of my bum. I tried EVERYTHING, Bio Oil, Coconut oil, retin A and nothing worked :-(

I had been reading a lot about skin needling and was sceptical (and also a little nervous about the possible pain!) but decided to give it a go. I had digital needling - which was not painful as a numbing cream was used, my skin was a little red and swollen for 24 hours after but the results, even after 1 session were amazing (the practitioner said I may need up to 3).

I went to a great clinic in London, they explained the treatment and what to expect and I was really well looked after on the day, especially as I was so nervous Shock. I can't recommend this treatment enough and just wish I had found it sooner!

I'm using a mix of 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1/4 cup shea butter and 1/4 cup cocoa butter that I mixed up at home. Early days yet, but hoping it helps.

However I agree with other people that genetics play a bigger role, as does how hydrated you are and diet etc.

I scar very easily and have thin skin, so not holding out too much hope for me...

Nothing works. Moisturising can help minimise itchiness and for that you can use any general moisuriser - or cooking oil for that matter. On the brighter side the way they look when they first appear (red, angry) is the worst they'll ever look.

I moisturised religiously in the years leading up to TTC so think that helped. I'm 36 weeks with nothing so far & my mum and sister both got them really badly. During pregnancy I've used Weleda but it's pretty pricey at £16 a bottle

i started moisturising from 12 weeks, using palmers stretch mark cream and then adding palmers oil too. I avoided stretch marks till about 30 weeks? and I thought moisturising had really helped and then boom! they all started coming. Now I have loads! It is down to genetics.

Yep I agree with the genetics, my Mom didn't get any and neither did I even though I gained 4 stone and didn't use a single lotion, I also didn't get the crepey skin - not sure if that's connected.
Save your cash and spend it on something lovely for yourself.

Dermelastic Serum saved my tummy from extra stretch marks during pregnancy. I'm convinced of that. I tried many different lotions, but always ran back to dermelastic and by far preferred how it absorbed into my skin. I have particularly dry skin and love dermelastic stuff.
