Hi - I need support from anybody who has been in this situation and for whom it has turned out OK. I believe to be 6+ weeeks pregnant. I am pretty sure of my dates and also I had a positive pregnancy test exactly 2 weeks ago so I must be at least 6 weeks or else the test would have been too early to be positive? I had an early scan last night because of my history (2 miscarriages - but also 3 children 7,5 and 2)and they found a sack and something inside but no visible heartbeat. The doctor was vague and wants to rescan next week. Is there a chance it was indeed too early to pick up the heartbeat? Thank You for any help!!!

no tips i'm afraid - it'd the only thing you want to think about....treat yourself to something...can someone have other kids and you have a couple of hours to yourself..go for a pedicure or read lots of magazines and eat lots of choccy!! i know what it's like so sending (((((hugs)))))) and keeping it all crossed...allow yourself to be upset and worried, but try and keep busy and not to dwell too much...

Just wanted to say - I'm off to bed feeling a lot less awful than I did last night. I am sooo grateful to all of you for all the kind words, support and reassurance.

Hope you get good news next week.

I'm sure it's not an EXACT science as to when you should see the heartbeat. Roughly anytime between 5 and 8 weeks. Everybody's different.
Try not to worry.
LOL

i no its hard but try not to panick and hold on until the next scan - i had an internal scan at 5 weeks they saw nothing then at 6 weeks all they could see was a dot that they couldnt decide if it was a pregnancy or not - i went back 10 days later and they finally found a heartbeat - hope all goes well xx

Hi
Had scan at 6 weeks and saw sac but no heartbeat. Had scan yesterday at 10 weeks and lovely bouncy bean with nicely ticking ticker! Was over the moon. Turned out consultant was worried too as he couldnt see anything in the sac at 6 weeks and was just hoping it was too early as everything was the right size. So glad he didnt say anything or past 4 weeks would have been agony! All the best.
