Transverse lie - experiences? (Esp if you had ELCS)

Baby has been transverse throughout, I'm now around 34w and baby's still transverse (confirmed by scan). Just wondered if anyone can share their experience of a transverse baby? Did baby move and when? If not, we're you admitted to hospital before your due date for monitoring? When did you have your ELCS and how was it?

Many thanks in advance!

Sorry I'm only 33 weeks so no further along than you, but my little one is also transverse. My midwifes is fairly certain that the baby will not move and we'll end up having a c-section.

I also have SPD and midwife has suggested that I may have a unusual shaped pelvis, which is causing the SPD and preventing the baby from being able to turn.

Midwife has said if baby is still transverse at next appointment (35weeks) I will be sent for a scan to confirm and c-section will most likely be booked for 38ish weeks.

Thanks November. It's interesting that your midwife thinks baby won't move now. The ones I've seen have been hopeful but I'm not so sure. I also have SPD this time, which I didn't get with my first pregnancy.

Hello!

My baby is footling breech. Have you googled the spinning babies website? lots of useful information on there how you can help baby turn. You may want to consider an ECV if appropriate?
I am booked for section at 39 weeks, increased risk of cord prolapse as footling but just been advised to go straight in if waters go/go into labour. Think they try to book section as close to due date as possible (39 weeks) to reduce the risk of baby having breathing problems x

It's over 10 years ago now so a bit hazy on dates, but I discovered DD was transverse fairly late on in pregnancy (last 4-6 weeks) They sent me for a scan straight away to confirm, and state I could have ECV that afternoon if I wanted to give it a go. I have to admit I knew very little about it, and I don't remember any of the risks being explained to me. However, I had started my pg expecting to have a C-section following complications in my first pg, but that had been ruled out later on, so I was really quite keen to avoid going back down that route, so said yes.
The process itself was uncomfortable, but not painful. They managed to DD and after an hour of lying still, and being monitored I was sent home. She was eventually born at 40+12, having stayed the right way round for the rest of the pg. She weighed in at 8lbs so not small, but they said I had a lot of fluid which helped with the turning process.
