Hi all.

I have started to do a little research in to prams and travel systems but there is so much choice, I don't know where to begin. I have a few specific requirements. Most importantly it has to fit in the boot of my corsa. I'd like the seat to face me and for the pram to cost less than £200 as a relative has offered to buy it for us so don't want to take the mickey. I already have a maxi cosi car seat so if it works with this great but no big deal if not as I mostly walk every where anyway. That leads me on to my last point. I walk miles so need something with decent wheels. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Smile

Try posting on the pushchair part of MN, they are great for suggesting things on there based on your needs and budget.

I have bought my last three pushchairs based on their recommendations, and they were spot on every time!

Thank you. I'll do that.

Why not buy second hand you get more for your money as people often sell them within 1-2years and you pay around 25-50% of new price.

Thanks that's definitely an option that I'll look in to. Just not sure what I'm looking for. There's so much choice!

It may suit you to get one of the store brands, like Mamas and Papas or Mothercare? Although not sure if they are compatible with maxi cosi... tbh £200 is not a massive budget for a travel system (believe it or not)!! You might be able to find some good offers on kiddicare.com. We had a Britax B-Smart which was super comfy for little baby, and the carseat fitting into the pushchair was really handy. It also had wheels that didn't puncture (I have heard nightmares about pushchair punctures when out...) When DS1 was about one, we bought a light-weight stroller, intended for travel but we just ended up using daily... Nice having something cosy and comfy when they're little but you may end up changing to a stroller when they get a bit bigger. Or be very wary of the weight of the buggy if you want to use as long as possible. It really is a buggy minefield of choice out there!!

Last time we got a m&p sola - it scored v well in Which? tests. I had to take 1 wheel off to get it in the boot of my Peugeot 208 tho. There were £30 for adapters for the maxi cosi. I think they do a more compact version now tho.

A friend of ours recommends her mothercare orb which I think is maxi cosi compatible. Is currently on offer at £275 down from £400 so may be worth a look?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll have a look at them all.
