Just wondered if there are fellow business travellers out there and how you're coping? I have regular trips (weekly, sometimes twice weekly) to London and I'm finding it really hard already at 23 weeks. Have said I don't think I'll be able to do it much longer but part of me feels bad as it seems quite early to be saying that.

Was so rough on the train home yesterday had a proper emotional meltdown and cried for the last half an hour of the journey. My fellow passengers must have thought I was a right mentalist!!

I have an hour and half commute into London everyday and i am 4 months pregnant. i was getting so tired though i am now working from home one day a week to break it up. it was worse in the first 12 weeks though as i had bad sickness, and at one point threw up in my hand bag which was majorly embarrassing!!

if you do have to travel though make sure you get a tfl - baby on board badge - so people know your pregnant and (should give up there seat - suprising how many men pretend they cant see you and it tends to be womenthat stand up for you!) also make a flask of tea/hot chocolate, something comforting, especially when weather turns cold. Get a good book that you can engrossed in and it takes your mind off things if you are feeling rubbish. hope this helps xx

How long are those journeys, do you get a seat? Is there anything you can do to make those journeys more comfortable/less unpleasant? I.e soothing music, plenty of snacks or drinks if you need them, travelling at slightly different times for quieter train or slightly more space?
If you really can't cope with the travelling I think discussing with work and seeing how you can compromise and not travel so much? So doing conference calls or webex? Or is there anyway you can combine two/three trips into one to minimize the journeys you are doing each week?
I have a three hr commute each day and I'm feeling a bit fed up as well. Hoping I can last till 36weeks...

Where I work pregnant women who need to travel for work are encouraged to use the train rather than drive, are allowed to go 1st class and are not expected to travel after 7 months. Although I felt amazing in my third trimesters and drove from Leeds to Peterborough to take an exam at 34 weeks.

If travelling is really making you suffer, i'd suggest speaking to your line manager and asking to review your risk assessment.
