Braxton Hicks

Hi,

I was 28 weeks on Sunday with my first baby and have been getting very strong Braxton Hicks for over a week. They have become very uncomfortable to the point that if i'm walking i want to stop, and make me feel like i need to pee badly (even if ive just been to the loo ) I've had mild ones from about 20 weeks, but they are now becoming frequent and very strong.

If i do any kind of brisk or mildly difficult exercise (such as walking up from the school) i get them repeatedly one after the other. Every time i bend over i also get them. By the time ive hoovered etc on a morning ill have had a good few within an hour. I was told not to worry unless they were more than 4 an hour which i'm pretty sure they are. Going to try and keep a count on how many i'm getting and when throughout the day tomorrow.

Should i be worried about this ?

Thanks

I'd give the midwife a call to discuss it just to be on the safe side. I am sure it will turn out to be fine though.

If you are concerned contact your midwife they can monitor it!
I'm now 36 weeks with no2 and got them already since week 15..
They are now for me so strong that I have to stop and breath trough them. Saw doctor about it and it is normal. Just keep an eye on it and if you feel baby move that it does not reduce.

Also do you know the position of your baby? Because mine is head down and when she stretches i have to wee and my stomach feels similar to a Braxton hick. As baby is putting pressure on your bladder Grin
