On Saturday I discovered I am pregnant with my second child. I have missed my period and did a strong positive test. I'm just a bit worried because I do not have any of the symptoms I had last time. When I was pregnant with DD very early on I had agonisingly sore boobs, I was sick from early until 20 weeks. This time, all I had was those slightly periody cramps when I thought my period would come but it didn't. No other symptoms at all. Has anybody else experienced this? Two very different pregnancies? Is it a bad sign?

I didn't with my first other than the stick telling me I was expecting I had no symptoms until the sickness set in around 8 weeks.

The other signs depend on you though, I have never been one to pay attention to my body so I don't notice the little twinge, Although things like my skin cleared up, and my hair got shiny.

Try not to worry, speak to the midwife if your concerned

I'm twenty eight weeks with my first and apart form the exhaustion in the first trimester i had no symptoms really. I had virtually no sickness, apart from an odd day where i suddenly vomited then it passed. My boobs did become very tender, but now apart from a fat belly i've had nothing :) not even any strong cravings, which i'm feeling a bit robbed about haha.

I had no symptoms with my first, now almost 26 weeks with my second and nothing again. Sometimes forget I am pregnant until she gives me a boot in the ribs and I find myself tucking into another weird and wonderful meal that includes marmite!

I consider myself one of the lucky ones, morning sickness sounds horrid!

I'm on my first pregnancy and I'm just over five weeks, but I've had very few symptoms. My breasts are sore and I'm quite tired, but that's it, really. It's making me very stressed that something might be wrong, even though I haven't had cramping or bleeding. I'm actually quite desperate to have morning sickness or something, just for the reminder that I'm actually pregnant and the reassurance that things are progressing.

Dc1 - i was gagging a lot at the beginning but not vomiting.
Had to leave work early due to ligament pain and had to get induced due to gall bladder attacks.. He is a healthy boy now.

DC1 - 36 weeks now pregnant. Between week 6 and 9 I was so extremely tired I slept everytime my son went down for his nap, all day sickness, I couldn't even change ds stinky nappie (I was lucky as he only pooed once DH got home from work, if he did it earlier as soon as I was finished changing him I dashed of to the loo throwing up) second trimester nothing. Didn't even feel pregnant at all.. Now third trimester I'm exhausted (blaming DS as he is teething and trying to get more mobile) PGP (pelvic griddle pain) and now a nasty cold/flu...
And based on the ultrasound it will be a girl but I can only say 100% once the baby is born.

Oh and the age difference between dc1 and dc2 will be 13 month Grin

Hi, I'm new to the site, was relieved to read this though, will be 5 weeks on Saturday and apart from Trapped wind and bloating (which I think is more to do with trying to introduce the things I normally avoid into my diet) I haven't had any symptoms either, got my positive on Monday.

Was expecting sore boobs at least, but nothing, feel a bit tired, but not massively

Same here. I have only just found out today. With DS I felt sick, couldn't stand certain smells and had to pee every 5 minutes. I feel nothing this time and am a bit worried too as have been using hot-tubs recently and think that is a no no when pregnant.

I managed to get a GP appointment this morning as I would like to have an early scan to check everything is ok. GP was trying to be reassuring but suggested I book a midwives appointment and take it from there. My DS is 7 now and this is a complete surprise as we weren't ttc.

I had virtually no symptoms in the first trimester - a bit of tiredness and hungrier than normal, but if I hadn't known I was pregnant I probably wouldn't have thought anything of it. Now 34 weeks pregnant. I understand the worry, and it does make it hard to believe and nerve-wracking as to whether the baby is still really there, but it doesn't mean that there's a problem, and more likely you're just lucky to have escaped some of the nasty stuff. I also have lots of friends who had totally different experiences between pregnancies (e.g. lots of sickness with one, none at all with another), and a friend who is a doctor said that this is normal and that while there are tendencies for an individual to respond in a certain way to being pregnant (e.g. some people are particularly prone to sickness), each individual pregnancy can affect the mother quite differently.
