Though I was just a little sore after DH and I finally DTD the other day. But the itching hasn't gone away and I've accepted that this is my first bout of pregnancy thrush Sad. It's a little late to go and get any treatment now, and I suspect if I ask for advice from the pharmacist they'll want me to see the GP first anyway, which I can't do till Thursday.

So, in the meantime I'm going to have a nice warm oaty bath this evening, and am considering shoving a garlic clove up there as a bit of an experiment.

Has anyone tried this, does it work at all? Is it just too weird to even bother? Got no yoghurt in either or I'd smother myself in that.

Sooo; frozen yoghurt fingers...

Not sure how anyone could insert and leave to melt. It is very very cold. Just ended up sort of rubbing it on and inserting it slightly for a few seconds so that some of it melted.

I did feel like I was fingering myself with a mini milk but it's worked to soothe the area.

Good on you for giving it a go

Sorry to lower the tone... but I'm sure I read somewhere that regular orgasms can help guard against thrush - I guess cos it keeps everything nice and lubricated down there? Might be worth a try once the irritation has died down a bit anyway Wink

To lower the tone even further, didn't work for me...maybe I wasn't doing it right? WinkShockGrin

More practise flinging!

Yoghurts up again, fx for a less itchy nights sleep. Elle, I shall try your advice when this bout ever shifts and report back Grin

If you're prone it's worth getting some 'friendly bacteria' tablets or powders (available in health food shops). You can get much higher dosage like that than those disgusting yoghurty drink type things. Only thing that keeps me vaguely clear at the best of times, let alone when pregnant. Skirt and no knickers round the house, definately NEVER ever wear tights (but hey, suspenders and hold ups....). Grapes are not good apparently. I've never heard of shoving garlic up there.

Well, frosty fanjo fingers being unsatisfactory, and pharmacist being rather unhelpful without a visit to the GP (roll on Thursday!) it's time for experiment number 2...

The Italian.
this stuff contains olive oil, and other Google sources tell me it can be an effective treatment. Along with the clove of garlic method, I now have slippery
and rather pungent lady bits. But not itchy or burning.

Off to sleep, belching fanjo garlic. Weird.

I'll let you know the results in the morning.

Flowery, delicate question; I'm bit shy of going commando, but am moist at the best of times. Don't you find it a little unpleasant going knickerless? Esp while pregnant and even damper than usual. I'm even considering making some washable panty liners as I know bought ones are a quick way to Thrush but it's getting to the soggy crotch stage.

I'm not shy that should say.
