4 hours sleep last night due to such horrendous reflux. Drinking gaviscon but any other suggestions? Really fed up and really ready to meet my little princess now.

Go to GP. Get a prescription for omeprazole.

Take one a day. Sleep again. Enjoy the blessed relief.

Ranitidene - you can get it on a free prescription. Marvellous stuff Grin
Also try drinking lots of milk.

Second the ranitidine recommendation - you can buy it off the shelf at supermarkets labelled as 'indigestion relief tablets'. Just check the label and make sure it is ranitidine. Supermarket own brand packs are only about £1.50 and its the same stuff that is in Zantac

I second gp. Omeprazole worked quite well for me.

Omaprazole changed my pregnancy, it's amazing.

I also found avoiding certain triggers helped. For me it was bread. Although as you get to the end of your pregnancy even water seems to cause it!

Zantac changed my life. I didn't get a prescription, the otc stuff is enough. Takes an hour to work and stays working all day, it's amazing. I was actually losing weight before I started taking it because I could barely stand to eat anything.

LBNM19 · 17/09/2014 16:56

Omaprazole is amazing been on it since around 20 weeks, was unbearable before xx

One more in the ranitidine camp here!

FirsttimerG · 17/09/2014 20:54

Zantac after meal, rennies. I am 36+4 and I have it constantly so I feel your pain!
Sip on milk too, plus yoghurt helps. Avoid all fizz, spice and acid, or large meals. And don't eat for 3 hours before you go to bed. xxx
