How do I find the coolest books/stores/apps/advice for me?!

I've just found out I'm pregnant - eeeek!!

I'm very excited and really wanting to dive into reading and buying and planning and researching but I have no idea where to start.

I just have no idea which books to read, which shops to look at, which email newsletters to sign up for, what the best apps are! Can anyone help find me tailored solutions?

I'm an Etsy loving, Pinterest addict, who wants cool, trendy, minimalist gadgets for her baby. I want a natural/water/hypno birth, I like the idea of Yoga before during and after. I want to use slings made from natural fibres, and non-disposable nappies in cool bright funky patterns.

At the moment there's probably some really obvious places to look at but searching in google for those things doesn't seem to be finding me those cool websites.

I guess whenever I find a website with lots of information on it's quite generalised and 'magaziney'. And when I find something about the natural stuff it seems more like independent blogs, or quite intense natural advocates that seems too wordy and serious! Is there anywhere that exists that ticks all these boxes?!

Hey Morgan,
I loved diary of a baby, three in a bed and do birth by Caroline Flint. It's a gorgeous(small!) little book about natural birthing. If you can stomach it, Tina Cassidys history of birth is very informative, but a bit gruesome. It does make you grateful for modern medicine though! I'm also reading about baby led potty training Name of book) which means I won't be using many nappies. My sister and I are making most of the clothes and mats and blankets: I've been saving all of my old clothes and cutting patchwork squares. There are some great Pintrist ideas for nurseries. I'm not going to buy very much for the baby- co sleeping with us, will try some slings in a local sling meet, maybe get a bath and some toys. Grin No prams, no outfits, no cots , no changing tables- getting a changing may for the top of dresser. Minimal!

Read having faith and raising Elijah by Sandra steingraber. I think you'd enjoy them.

Anything by Janel Balaskas for active birth and yoga.

browse MN (of course) especially the 'slings and carriers' and 'nappies' sections.

And have you found our Due Date chats thread? It'll be in antenatal clubs
