Hideously dry hair

Since being pregnant, my hair has got progressively more straw-like. Now 26 weeks and resembling Worzel Gummidge. Can anyone offer any advice re shampoos, conditioners or products I could try or is there nothing I can do?

(Ironically my skin has been the best it's ever been so I shouldn't really moan...)

Mine is dry anyways, but worse so now deffo. I am avoiding straighteners and high heat and conditioning like mad......Im not sure it is making a difference.

It is growing super fast tho on the plus side.

Put coconut oil on it overnight.

Dont dry it with a hairdryer, let dry naturally, and use a really good leave in conditioner, I have bonkers hair usually and am having the same issue as you! I use the Aussie one it smells gorge too xx

Thanks all! I seem to have spent a fortune on shampoo and conditioner for dry, frizzy hair and nothing has made any difference so I'm keen to give these a try! x

The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle reconstruction stuff is brilliant. And fairly cheap too! Smile

Massage coconut oil into hair and scalp. Leave overnight. Wash out in morning, will take a couple if shampoos.

Amazing stuff

I use this and my hairdresser couldn't believe the improvement in my hair the first time I went to see her after trying it.

Leaves it so soft and shiny.

I aim to do it once a week when I remember and really does make a difference. Plus it's cheap too!

Thank you! I'm going to go shopping at the weekend and definitely buy an Aussie conditioner AND some coconut oil! Incidentally, where can I get coconut oil? And will it be with the hair products or is it used for other things? Sorry to be a bit clueless Smile

In my supermarket it's in the 'health/allergy/gluten free' sort of section.

Leave in conditioning is the only thing that will disguise its appearance, as well as nourishing the hair.

Kerastase and L'Oreal products (same company) are great. There's a UV cream from Kerastase that works SO well as a leave in (on top of your usual conditioner) that smoothes hair and gives it shine. I have run to the bathroom to look at mine and it's called aqua seal. I fully recommend it. L'Oreal's hair oil (the cheaper version of Elixir Ultime) is also supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it. I did get Elixir Ultime (can you tell I have thick hair?!) and didn't love it as much as I loved the old Oleo Relax serum, which was a marvel.

VO5 hot oil is also very good, though the results last only a week or so, it makes a huge difference and it's cheap.
