I am 23+4. I have been feeling the baby move for a while now. Dh has even felt a few big kicks! The baby seems to follow a routine. Doesnt move about during the day very much, except when i eat! But is a lot more active during the late evening/night.

The last few days i have not felt him move as much, certainly not as strong.

I know later on in pregnancy reduced movement can be a concern. Should i be concerned?

If you are worried you can always ring your m/w. I am 24 weeks and this is DC2. There are days when I feel less movement than others, and I know she is moving position lots as kicks are in all different places and she still has plenty room in there. Also some days when I am running about lots I know I am not thinking about the movement so much. Could just be that baby is now in a position where it is not as noticeable for you? Try not to be too worried, m/w is always there for reassurance. A drink of cold water or something fizzy quite often gets mine moving about.

Am sure it's fine BUT GO GET CHECKED NOW! It's not worth worrying when a midwife can reassure you in five mins. Honestly! I think I had a moment at ~24wks with DC1 when I decided I hadn't felt it move in ten hours so called hospital, dashed in and literally felt it do a somersault as I sat on the bed and then had to stay there for half an hour while they monitored heart beat but still v glad I went and checked. Not worth the risk IMO. Good luck, let us know.

Generally I believe the advice is not to worry about established patterns until 28 weeks - until this point the baby is still doing a fair bit of swimming about, so you won't necessarily feel things the same way all the time.

That said, if you're worried I'd call your MW to check. It's unlikely to be a problem, but if it's making you anxious you probably won't feel better until you've spoken to a HCP Smile

Any changes in movement contact your midwife.

Ring your midwife BUT at this stage there is plenty of space for baby to hide away so it's highly likely that.
Use count the kicks (website) for a time line of when you should feel things and when to call your mw.
I would advise against using forums: you will get laid back answers or worrying answers depending on personal experience ... what you need it a chat on the phone to a trained mw. :)

I spoke to a midwife this morning, she was not concerned. I see my midwife next week so she can have a listen.

I have felt quite a bit of him today, its just not as strong as he has been.
