Laughing Cow Light "with blue cheese"? Bought some yesterday, alongside bagels and cranberry sauce. Now lunchtime is approaching I realise I probably should have queried this before buying! I am assuming because it's processed crap any nasties will have been zapped?

Almost certainly. Sounds disgusting though.

Hard blue cheeses are fine, soft cheese is not but like you I doubt what you have counts... It might be all flavouring and colourings!!!

SilverLinings2014 · 11/09/2014 14:44

It's processed so fine:

Yes, absolutely. It's processed as anything. Sadly has NO taste of blue cheese though.

You know you can eat stilton don't you? If you want a creamy blue cheese, crumble it into philly and stir together- a much nicer spread than laughing cow. :)

As Silver says, just follow the NHS rules... that page has about 1000 user questions at the bottom too.

Kiterun · 11/09/2014 19:48

OOOh I didn't know Stilton was ok - have been missing it.

I also really want runny egg but the NHS says no - whereas I've read that eggs stamped with a Red Lion are ok. Think I'll stick with the NHS guidance though, have only got a few weeks left until I can have a forbidden food banquet.

Thank you all! I also didn't realise Stilton was ok. I assumed the danger was in the moulding process. May reach for the good stuff from now on!
