30 weeks and no energy

I'm moaning again, in so tired all the time, I just have no energy, have to have a nap during the day, only just got out the bath and can't even be bothered to get in the car to go to the supermarket, is this normal or am I just lazy?

I'm now 30 weeks and booked in for an elective c section on the 15/10 I can't actually bare the thought of this for another 9 weeks.

Someone said to me yesterday "oh you've got ages left" I actually felt like bursting into tears :( xx

I felt like that at 30 weeks. I did get a bit of a second wind a couple weeks later, just try to rest lots, eat and drink the right stuff, and do a bit of gentle exercise.

Hope you feel better!

I'm 32 weeks with 2nd. Make sure you're taking your one a day pregnancy vitamins as I find this makes a big difference to my energy levels, washed down with cranberry juice which has good vitC but not as much sugar as OJ. Also, make sure you're getting enough protein and calcium as the baby is really starting to bulk up now and will need it. Eggs give me more energy, try making breakfast more substantial, e.g. Egg on toast rather than just toast.

I know I've just blathered on about food but I find if I'm not paying attention to what I'm eating I have a real slump in energy.

It's totally normal to feel washed out and need a nap, especially since nighttime sleep starts to get disturbed. My bump kept me awake last night from 3am-5am, then my toddler woke at 5.45am ready to play! Bleurgh.

Just hang in there and do what you need to do to get through the day. And that's what online supermarket shopping is for Grin

I'm also 30 weeks and also very tired. Have to take a nap when DS is having his.
My house looks like a mess.
Only 9 more weeks we can do that..

Thanks everyone, I had a good cry about it and it made me feel a bit better ha. I'm defiantly going to try and eat better i get full quickly and eat here and there which probably doesn't help. Xx

I am 31 weeks and feeling the same. I had extreme exhaustion for the first 25 weeks, felt ok for about a month and now it's back again. It is really crap. It's the summer holidays and my five year old is seriously losing patience with me!

If it's any conciliation, I don't remember new baby sleep deprivation being as debilitating as this!

It's hard isn't it, I've got a 2 year old as well he's disabled and I feel bad for him as I can never be bothered to play etc, but really want to enjoy the time I have left with him as an only child, he's used to getting lots if attention x

I felt knackered at around the same time, midwife said my iron levels were a bit low, but not low enough to justify iron tablets. On her recommendation I started taking Spatone twice a day and I feel it really helped.
