How did your SPD start?

I'm justing coming up to 26 weeks and for the last 4 or 5 days I've been experiencing aching hips at night when sleeping on my side - its uncomfortable enough to disturb my sleep and means I keep having to shift sides, which isn't much fun for my husband. I've started sleeping with a pillow between my knees/legs, but I'm also starting to get very slight pains in what I can only describe as the front public bone area. I'm pretty active, I cycle to work, walk the dog etc. and have carried on with some regular exercise, but I'm worried that this might be the start of something more serious. any advice?

Sure someone with SPD will be along in a mo, but I have always had aching hips in pregnancy (now expecting DC3), particularly at night. It starts quite early for me, as lasts until after delivery. It is annoying, but not progressive - for me if just stays at the same level and has never turned into SPD. Lots of yoga type stretching helps for me, especially pre bed.

Mine started at about 20 weeks, baby was always head down. It felt like she was bouncing on my bladder all the time. Felt a dull ache in pelvis, similar to period pain but without the sharp cramps. I had pain in coccyx which shot up to my shoulders. By 24 weeks I was walking like an old lady!
See midwife now and she can refer to physio. Mine was diagnosed too late and I suffered terribly.
Hope it all goes well for you

I've only just been diagnosed and I'm 38 weeks! It's my own fault really with this being my first I thought the pain was normal... It gradually got worse and worse to the point just turning over in bed has become a painful struggle! Walking absolutely anywhere for any period of time is painful but it is still somewhat bearable. My midwife said there is nothing she can really do and to wait it out and f after birth I am still in pain then she will refer me to a physio but other than that I just have to get on with it :(.

As I said as time has gone on and I've got bigger it has got worse! They say to get a support belt that can give some relief.

Mine started at 12 weeks , woke up one day unable to move, it felt like my pubic bone was being snapped in half

This is first pregnancy and I got it very early on but last May I fell from my horse and got a nasty pelvic injury wh

Mine started at 37 weeks. It was a searing, burning sensation at the front of my pelvis. A counterpoint to the shooting, stabbing pain from my bulging lumbar disc in my back.

Due date tomorrow.

Oppss posted before I finished

Which was not healed right when I fell pregnant in Jan this year.

They say horse riders and swimmers are also more prone to it.

I'm now 34 weeks and sleeping is impossible , I can hardly get about and I have taken to avoiding walking anywhere to make pain manageable

It's not fine at all :-(
