PGP/SPD help!

Hi,
Sorry this is long, feel free to skip to questions bit!
After some advice from someone who has experienced this.

Since 5 weeks I've been very hyper mobile and recently I've had aching pelvic joints. However it was all manageable.

I'm now 11 weeks and whilst walking into town I had this awful shocking nerve pain from my groin upwards. I couldn't walk back (10 minutes and I'm very used to walking). Then this evening I was sitting on the sofa and swung my leg round. It was excruciatingly painful and felt like it had popped out and in from my joint. I'm lying in bed now but had to get DH to help me go to the loo and into bed as absolute agony.

My questions are:
Does this sound like pgp?
Is it likely to get better by itself?
I'm moving in two weeks, in that timeframe is there anything GP could do or should I just wait until I move (across the country) ?

Thank you so much for your help! To make matters worse I'm volunteering at a festival and camping (ouch!!!) next week. Feeling worried whether I would even get on a lilo...

Praying it all miraculously cures itself overnight (if I can fall asleep given that any movement is painful!)

Hi!

Very similar thing happened to me at 13 weeks and it was spd. Speak to your midwife ASAP and see if she can refer you to see a physio, but in the meantime, I recommend seeing an osteopath - mine has really helped me and the waiting time to see him is much shorter than to see a physio! Hope you feel better soon.

Does sound like SPD, you can get a referral to physio, but I found walking through water at the swimming pool really helped me :)

It does sound like SPD. The mw should refer you to physio but ive never had much help from them tbh other than being provided with crutches. The osteopath made a massive difference and I do think its worth forking out for (I was on crutches by 5 months with dd2 and this time it started earlier but I have no probs walking still at 35 weeks). I usually notice the biggest difference the day after I see her but it takes a while after each visit before the pain starts to come back. And I managed to get an appointment the same week I called.
I also found swimming (not breast stroke legs) really helped.
