Anyone else? Sitting up and driving is hell I'm ok stood or walking.

Thing is I've got three weeks of work left and it's in an office sat down.. Don't know what to do I feel terrible letting work down but can't really face sitting there for 8 hours at a time we only get a 30 mins break and although they say I can walk around in practice it just doesn't happen.

When I got home on Tuesday I couldn't get comfortable all evening and now I've had 3 days at home I just can't imagine how I'm going to cope. I had my hair done today it was mega painful in the chair for two hours..

Anyone got any tips? Midwife says it's just babies position and take paracetamol ..!!

Would sitting on a gym ball at work help?and maybe setting an alarm or drinking lots of water through the day so you have regular walking breaks.

I've had back/rib pain at 36 weeks and found a gym ball more comfortable than my office chair.

I have the same, it's a pain - literally! I tried all the chairs in my office till I found one that wasn't so crippling. Walking about is great, but it's back as soon as I sit for more than a few minutes. At the end of a long day at work I just want to slob on the couch but it's just too sore. The gym ball helps a bit, or sitting in a comfy upright chair. So no answers, just a moan!

Its probably worth also getting a stand for your gym ball so you aren't using your stomach and back muscles to hold it in position.

And or alternate with a dinning room type chair (with cushions) although it could be harder to get your desk to the correct height for that. If it's not an adjustable desk and the chair works get them to prop it up.

Can you manage to go for a swim? I was desperately uncomfortable during my last pregnancy. But I found swimming (as often as I could!) helped. It takes the strain off for a while and give your back and ribs a bit of relief. By the time I was overdue I was swimming almost every day! Good luck.

Mothercare sell a 'wedge' pillow you can use to prop your bum up on the chair so you're almost standing IYSWIM. About a tenner. I found that helps.
At home I just sit on the ball as PP have said.
