I'm 23 weeks pregnant .. Have been feeling baby kick properly for the past 2 weeks. However today nothing not since yesterday.. When should I be worried ? I've drank cold fruit juice and had a sugary snack

He's never overly active anyway but I do feel him kicking throughout the day normally

Give your MW a ring - it is always OK to do this- however it is early and there is space for baby to move without being felt. Many women only just feel light movement at 23 weeks and patterns certainly aren't fixed.

Count The Kicks is the charity which specifically promotes tracking of movement to prevent loss, so their guidance is very trustworthy. Here is what they have: countthekicks.org.uk/mums/your-babys-movements/babys-movements-week-by-week/

If you call your MW though, I am sure she will advise you and if you're anxious can offer to check you.

Call your midwife. They don't mind at all and it's best to get everything checked

Your midwife can put your mind at rest, but where I am they don't start worrying about reduced movement until 26-28 weeks as the baby can change position and hide before then.

I'm 22 weeks and the baby had a very quiet day on Thursday, back to feeling it again over the weekend though. I only get very sporadic movement anyway.

I would definitely get it checked, even though it's still earlyish, they won't mind in the least.

I hope you managed to get some reassurance from a midwife?

I had a very similar thing at about the same stage. I'd been feeling movements quite regularly since about 18 weeks (I'm tiny and ds was a big baby) and then felt nothing one day.

I rang my midwife in the afternoon in a panic. She reassured me that he had probably just turned around but listened for the heartbeat anyway.

He was fine as she said and is now 8 months old but the reassurance meant so much to me.

Definately call the MW even just for reassurance.

I'm 22+3 and have had regular movement since 18 weeks but nearly phoned on Saturday morning as I didn't get the ususal kicks during breakfast - I think she must just have been having a lie in after a busy day on Friday as she was back on form again mid morning.

Best to get it checked out though.
