Does anyone else find this as annoying as I do?

Glance? By all means. Acknowledge? Sure. Smile? I might smile back at you. Ignore your wife talking to you because you're staring so intently? NO. NEVER DO THIS.

Actually just happened to me at Tesco. Maybe I'm paranoid as well as hormonal.

I think the tutting was because although I was 19, I looked younger - I can pass for a 16 year old if I'm not wearing make-up and have my hair up - so this old bigot woman was openly judging. She stared at me for ages in the queue, and then as she walked off, she glared at me, glared at the bump and tutted.

A mate of mine was 26 when she had hers. A woman- in a posh village in Berkshire where people chat but can be quite judgey - stopped and berated her for being a schoolgirl mum.
She didn't know whether to be furious or really pleased with her new foundation!! Grin

I was trying to work out why people kept looking and smiling at me yesterday when we were in town. I then worked out it must be because I'm pregnant. Bump is very obvious as I'm measuring big. Once I worked out why people were looking at me I felt better!

A lady in a shop held a door open for me...she looked at my bump the entire time as I walked through the door and even as I said thank you she was still looking at it...not once did she look at my face! I find it very odd.

I get the odd knowing smile but mostly people trying to get to the cashier just before me or push past. Im shocked at peoples attitude of 'me first, sod you'

Although I have got away with two packing tickets!! One let me off just because "I was nice" and the other noticed my maternity pass and saw me come out the shop- they had just added the parking meter- I had no idea and so the chap saw my reaction when I came out of the shop and suddenly saw it. "its alright, don't worry, don't have a baby just yet! he said and let me off.Grin

I'm 39wks and went for a waddle round Tesco yesterday. I really was waddling and creeping about at a snail's pace because baby is engaged and I have SPD and it bloody hurts to walk. But, y'know, we still gotta eat. EVERYBODY stared at me. I hate being the centre of attention. I guess watching a very pregnant woman struggling back to the car with a heavy trolley with wonky wheel is more entertaining than lending a helping hand.
