I didn't feel my baby move till around 21 weeks, I'm 27 weeks now and would say I've felt him properly for last 4 weeks, I've also had reduced movment today and been worrying but going to call mid wife in morning if still reduced xx

Thank you, I panic a lot about movement!

Hope everything is ok for you x

Im 17 weeks with DC2 and I would say I have been feeling movement for about 2 weeks clearly too. I feel nothing in the day generally, only at night when i am in bed, and not always or constant. Speak to your m/w if you are worried, but I am sure at this stage its normal as some people don't feel anything at all till weeks later Smile

Hi! I'm 19 weeks. Felt movement for a while now, on and off. Last night he/she was really going for it. Other half even felt it! Tend to feel it more in the evenings when I finally sit down!
This early, it's normal not to feel it as often though. Give it a few weeks, you'll be feeling it much more as they get bigger :)

This ( countthekicks.org.uk/mums/your-babys-movements/babys-movements-week-by-week/ ) is a very reliable website on baby movement (it's the charity which helps mums-to-be monitor their babies safely at home).
They even say most women only start to feel movement reliably at 20-23 weeks, so do bear in mind that your baby is so small they can currently be in the middle or back of your uterus kicking away and you won't feel it at all (if you think about it they won't ONLY kick twice a day). At your point, most women are just feeling on off flutters, not kicks and rolls they can properly count which come later.

If you are worried, get into the habit of calling your midwife helpline. It's always the safest thing to do and in this case will probably get you some peace of mind.

I am a high risk pregnancy and was told by both specialist midwives and consultants not to worry too much about daily movement before 20 weeks, and only start 'counting' (or monitoring, as they said 'baby can't count: 12 a day or 14 a day are the same to her) the kicks 26-28 weeks.
If you are concerned about movement, chat to your MW, use the website above or Mumsnet or NHS - and stay away from google...

I'm 25 wk go with dc2 and got into a bit of a worry today as convinced myself baby not as active last few days. Rang mw helpline and she said at this stage it's still normal for you not to feel movement consistently. She said that if at 30weeks I was feeling reduced movements they'd worry more but she wasn't worried at this stage. I have felt baby move after all and I don't really count how many times a day, it was more a feeling of it being less active. MW said drink lots of cold drinks as this stimulates the baby so you can feel a few reassuring movements :)

Thanks guys Smile

The mw came over after I called her (I had a stillbirth prev so work myself up about these things)

Typical as soon as she got here the baby started having a disco in there Blush

She found HB straight away.
