I have booked to see doctor later this morning but feeling concerned really, apart from pregnant with my twins I never got pain like this so early on. I am working part time in a kitchen so on my feet alot and then im walking too and from school and nursery 6 times a day. I feel exhausted and run down. Ive had to call in sick today.

Is this something I should be concerned about? What would the doctor do for me if anything? I know in my first 2 pregnancies I had pelvic pain that sometimes went into my hips and thies and they always just told me it was stretching pain so could this be something similar

It could be sciatica, when the sciatic nerve is being pressed in the lower back sending shooting pains through hips and down legs.

When I had this it genuinely felt like I had shattered by pelvis, I could not put any weight on it.

What did the doctor say?

And I hope it gets better very quickly. j

Hi, very typical it has eased now been to the doctor. It was a doctor I hate so I couldnt wait to get out the room tbh and I dont particually trust his judgement after past incidents so still none the wiser

He doesnt think anything to be concerned about as I havent always got the pain its mainly when been working. Need to start taking it a bit easier Ive already cut my hours starting next week for the summer hols so hopefully will see how I go. He mentioned it could be start of spd but doesnt usually start so early? So been told to make an appointment with a midwife but going there next week so hopefully it will of settled by then I know it seems to have already but I have spent most the day on my arse ha! Hes told me to take paracetamol and if pain continues to be as bad as it was last night then would consider co codamol but as he said (and i agree) unless pain is severe that should be a last resort.

I know there is a midwife drop in clinic at a local children centre on Friday so I may end up there just for second opinion.

Plus side im starting to feel very strong fluttering this last couple of days

It could be spd, I had it with my last pregnancy it's more unusual to have it earlier but lots of people do. Mine was so much better when I had a day of not doing much. Spreak to your midwife ASAP and see if she can get you some physio. The physio will give you lots of tips on how to minimise pain and discomfort plus exercises.
Fingers crossed it's not but if it is take it easy resting as much as poss ( I know it's not always easy) really does make a difference.

Ive just googled spd and it does sound like it could be which is a scary thought. I will go to the midwife dropping on Friday, like I said I dont trust the gps judgement. Im not getting this clicking feeling though thats mentioned is that always a symptom?
I have put a lot of weight on quite quickly would that have an effect on causing spd early on?
