Gender confirmation at scan - what did you actually SEE?

Can you describe, please?

I wasn't planning on finding out and really wanted the surprise but we're having a huge problem with this pregnancy and constant scanning and I think I accidentally saw something 'genital' today.

I was quite surprised it looked like it did, not what I was expecting, but still I was quite convinced I knew what I was looking at - I've seen a lot of babies' front bum areas of both kinds! Asked DH when we got home and he said he thought the same as me.

I don't want to say what I thought, I want you to tell me what you saw and what gender you were told so I can work out if I'm right or wrong or so I can get a grip of myself because I'm clearly not a trained eye and how the hell should I know?!

Right, so...

I can safely be none the wiser until the next accidental peek - what I saw I thought was a scrotum but without a clearly discernible penis, could also be the hamburger of which you speak. It was such a fleeting glimpse, and my consultant quickly moved on and started talking about something else. It just struck me how much it looked like baby boy bits.

Whatever they are, I've got two of it - I'm having identical twins.

In my last pregnancy DH and I both saw testicles and a willy when baby had legs wide apart.

A surprise is the best I think, our fist three were a surprise then we found out for ds4 no 5 was meant to be a surprise and then the sonographer! Saud did we want to know and dp Saud yes...

If there is ever a number six we will not find out.

I had my 20 week scan recently and could see 3 lines which apparently indicates a girl, when I had DS' scan it was very obvious he was a boy and he's still not shy about flashing his bits at 4 years old
