a little worried

I went for my 32 midwife appointment this morning and she sent me to hospital because of baby's lack of movement. I had a scan and the midwife told me I have anterior placenta which has worried me because the same happened with my sister in law and she had to have a c-section. Did this happened to anyone else and did you have to a c-section? This is my first baby

I had an anterior placenta, it just meant that the movement was sometimes possibly more muffled so I couldn't feel it as keenly. I also has a movement scan, around 34 weeks. However, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't not be worried about lack of movement. You'll know what's usual for you, and be aware if that reduces or changes.

I didn't have a c-section, no one even mentioned that as a possibility. I can't see how it would be a risk factor.

I have an anterior placenta and I haven't been told that there are any additional risks - only that movements are a bit more muffled (plus it's more difficult for me to hear baby's heartbeat over the placenta, although the midwives can hear it straight away!).

My notes state I have an anterior placenta this time. Its not been mentioned to me as an issue and having looked on the internet and as above I think it just muffles the feeling of baby moving potentially. It doesn't ultimately mean a c section. If it is also low lying though it can cause issues but I am only going off what I have read.

I think a low lying placenta can cause issue because it can bloxk the cervix/babys entrance to the world, so requiring a csection.

An anterior placenta means it's to the front and therefore you might not feel as much movement but mostly shouldn't cause any issues. This is different from low lying placenta.
