Bub very quiet...?

My bub hasn't moved much over the last few days. I'm used to seeing my tummy move and quite strong flutters but it isn't happening. I went to the doctors last week because I was worried but there was a strong clear heartbeat and doctor said bub felt like he/she was probably facing my back and thats why I couldn't feel anything. She said to go back if things are stll the same in a few days. Am I been silly or is this normal? Would I have 'symptoms' if there was something wrong? I'm 22+3. Any advice anyone? x

For your own peace of mind I suggest you go back. Rather let them monitor baby for a while, it is not good to worry about it all the time.

Apparently if the placenta is at the front, that can prevent you feeling movement too.
My MW suggested drinking ice cold drinks to get him moving. Can of coke usually does the trick

I agree though, go back and get checked out if your concerned

hi daisypops,
Im 35+2 and have like you had days where baby very active with strong movements then days where i think ive felt nothing at all, i think like us baby has sleepy days or is up at night when you are asleep, or if you are busy and on the go you dont nottice it fluttering about. im the same and start panicking if baby is quiet! im sure your bub is fine, if nothing by tomorrow go to gp just for reassurance. p.s i also find the more i worry the less it moves!! then when my mind is on somthing else i ge a good kick in the ribs! Try not to worry. hope this helps. (sorry so long this is my first posting) xx

If you go on to the baby centre website, you can print off a kick chart so you can keep record of how many times he does kick.

Hi

Yep, I've also had days when bub is quiet. I'm 32+2 - my mw also told me to drink ice cold water to get him/her moving. Also, if you're busy all day, try to sit down for a few minutes and see if baby wakes up. I'm so busy with 2 kids but if I wake up at night (usually at 4am to go to toilet!), and first thing in the morning, bub's usually shifting and kicking like mad! I'm sure I'm going to have a nocturnal baby!

Thanks everyone. This has reassured me. I think I keep feeling slight movement. I have a MW appointment on wednesday so she should be able to reassure me. x
