Had mine yesterday morning, by the evening my arm was throbing and feeling bruised and this morning I have a very large red swollen area that's sore and arm aches like hell!

Anyone found this, wonder if this is how poor bsbies feel after there jabs

Thats something that happens when you have it as it is more than just the whooping cough jab as it is also a booster for other things like tetnus. Just keep an eye on it, it should go down in a couple of days. Myself unnaturally, ended up getting an infection as it became very hot to the touch, but the risks of that are minute, I was just unlucky

I had mine on Monday and it's only today that my arm feels sort of normal again. Tuesday and Wednesday felt like I'd been beaten up (but only on my upper arm, very precise assailant!). Didn't have any redness or swelling though but did feel a bit rough on Monday afternoon.

I had mine last Thursday. It made me very tired and my arm hurt a lot. Also it made baby a bit quiet too, he's back to normal now but we were both sleepy over the weekend. Hope you feel better soon. Smile Smile

I felt very unwell 24 hours later, that was due to the tetanus shot I think, as I have had that happen before. My arm hurt too.

the same; swollen, lump in the middle, red round about it and then the day after it was itchy for about 5 days. GP said that con sometimes happen because of the type of localised injection it is and to keep an eye on it but it looked fine to him. had the lump for about a fortnight though.

Yes. I had the same reaction. Pretty normal vaccine reaction for me. It goes away fairly quickly.

I got in such a state I've having it I put it off until 32 weeks. In the end it was just a sore arm for about 3 days and felt a bit tired.
Glad it's done now, I can stop worrying about it!!! Hope your arm doesn't feel bad for too long, I've heard it's the Tetanus part of the vaccine that causes this! :)

No reaction at all, but I had whooping cough as a child so my immune system might be more up to the task than others.

I had a sore arm for a day or two. That was it really. I feel grim every day so I can never tell what causes it!

gotagoldtoof · 03/07/2014 18:05

No reaction at all - but the flu jab was incredibly painful for about two weeks after!

Heatherbell1978 · 03/07/2014 18:47

I had miñe yesterday morning too! No marks or redness on my arm but it's really sore. Didn't sleep a wink last night as I couldn't lean on it at all in bed. Not what I need when I'm nit sleeping great anyway. Baby still doing cartwheels though.

Redling · 03/07/2014 18:47

Very very sore arm for 4-5 days, couldn't sleep on that side at all. Red swollen jab area that was hot to the touch. Al fine when it goes though!

Slightly sore arm then came down with stinking cold and mild chest infection a couple of days later (had not had a cold for about a year and a half and had been healthy throughout pregnancy). I reckon it just was a bit much for my immune system and Dr agreed...but i was nothing major...just reckon i was a bit under the weather and there were tons of colds about at the time.
