can i just ask what levels does an anti d blood test have to be b4 being given anti d injection? im A rhs d negataive and my anti d antibody levels was 4.63 at 28 weeks and was refused by doctor at antenatal to have my anti d injection then at 32 weeks I went in with a bleed and was still refused. is this right or wrong? then at 33 weeks my anti d antibodies was 4.01

Under 5ml is considered less of a risk abut you should be given anti d anyway unless you are a prone bleeder like I am and doc will only give anti d every 6 weeks. evry 'episode' of bleeding should be given with anti d unless like I said before you bleed throughout. they should also take blood for a kleinhaurs test (I cant remember how to spell that) and be able to determine and tell you how much is a danger in your blood.

It's my understanding that anti-d is given routinely in the 3rd tri but it won't be administered if you have already been sensitised to rh pos blood and your immune system has developed antibodies against it, because it's ineffective in preventing you from developing further antibodies once they're in your system.

Your post suggest you do already have anti-d antibodies (from a previous pregnancy perhaps?) so perhaps that's why you've been refused. They should have properly explained the reasons to you though and what they would do going forward to manage the situation. You should be closely monitored in case problems develop.
