28weeks in decided I really should get myself done bras that fit, currently wearing my usual 32d which I'm busting out of and wires popping out! So off I went to Mothercare, was measured at a 32E and the choice was bloody awful they are huge and stuck out the top of my vest top I was wearing by a good 3 inches!

Couldn't bring myself to part with £30 for something so bloody ugly!

Never had these issues before as Breast never changed in first two pregnancies and no milk came in! It was only after my boob job and I got pregnsnt with my 3rd that my boobs got bigger and I produced milk but at the time I had lots of my sports/support bras left over from my op so wore them! Now 7 years later they are long gone!

Please tell me somewhere sells nicer materinty bras instead of those godawful straight jackets Mothercare offer???

Kiddicare had some lovely bras in when I looked the other day. They also have a sale on this week too :)

That Hot Milk website is ace! I've read on (ahem) Pintrest (so not the most reliable website) that to save money don't buy maternity bras, just go straight for nursing bras as you'll have to buy those in the end anyway. That sounds like a fantastic idea.... Assuming that my boobs don't get even bigger and I end up having to get a second lot of nursing bras, that could actually work out more expensive.

It's a long way off for me, but as I was reading the post, I thought I'd ask for your realistic thoughts on this tip.

Debenhams are good and JoJo Maman Bebe do maternity bras with special underwiring that also double as nursing bras so good investment. I'd be wary of Bravissimo, they tried to get me into a 30 back, I'm small but not that small. A day of wearing the bra and I had a blister.....I got my money back but they seem too keen on getting you into tiny back sizes which isn't great with an expanding rib cage!

scenic, up to a point this is a reasonable idea. But the issue is that you can change size quite a bit when your milk comes in. If you are a larger cup size, From here to Maternity carry a good range online, including wired nursing bras for those of us who can't manage without (Bravado I think, but on my phone so can't check properly). The Bravado ones also have the advantage of looking like real bras vs. enormous parachute-like things.
