Dd was not much of a mover inside, apart from hiccups and big turns.

This pregnancy I am constantly being prodded and kicked (favourite activity seems to be kicking my blader repeatedly in the same spot). The movement is about 18 hours worth per day!

Am I going to give birth to a little non stop pocket rocket?

Erm....in my experience, yes. Exhausting but brilliant pocket rocket here who hasn't stopped moving since he first started! Grin

Haha brilliant. Id best get some confy shoes then! Dd loves to run in short bursts but is at her happiest snuggled in for a film.or a story.

this ones a boy, which Ive been told need exercised like a labrador Grin im trying not to gender stereotype but so far he is conforming to type!

I've got an 18 hour a day wriggler as well. I don't know for sure, but maybe my girl feelings are wrong!

squizita · 27/06/2014 08:54

Mine is a girl and very wriggly.

Nope. I could hardly feel my DD moving at all (could have been the anterior placenta), and often had to count her movements to be sure all was ok.

From the moment she was born she's been full of energy. She moves non-stop and doesn't sleep much for her age. She's all go!

MrsMonkeyBear · 27/06/2014 09:07

DD has been kicking me since 4am this morning, so far 5 hours of her trying to burrow out of my bum (that's the feeling) I'm sure she's going to take after me tho, up early, run around until lunch, nap then chill until bed time.

While pregnant, I asked my mum if she'd felt beaten up by all the kicking when she was pregnant - she had no idea what I was talking about. The baby turned out to be incredibly active, from birth could support her own head which am sure was from all the exercise she'd had inside. I have a friend who had just the same experience.
She has always had enormous amounts of energy and needed v little sleep. She is now 2 and needs less sleep than me, seriously.
Best wishes, she has nearly killed me.

Its only fair I get a non-sleeper. Dd was doing 7-7 by about four months and even at 2 1/2 does 7-7 plus a two hour lunchtime nap. Have been lucky really!

Ds1 and dd2 never stopped kicking/punching I'm sure I had bruises on my kidneys when they were born.

Now they're 5 and 3 and never sit still. Dd2 is the worst she never stops moving even when she's asleep and she chatters non stop from the minute she wake till she's asleep.
