Morning sickness - Avomine experiences

This is a bit specific but thought I'd try my luck....

Just wondering if anyone out there has experience of taking Avomine.

I am taking Avomine for morning sickness (after reading/accepting the risks v benefits) and although it is really helping, I am having a bit of trouble sussing it out.

One minute I am unable to work and passed out for three hours, next day I can work all day and even go for food without feeling ill or queasy afterwards! Then today I had to stop working and just chill for three hours (not even sleep - I felt drowsy but not tired), I was a bit 'happy' as if I'd been smoking something funny and had blurry vision.

I did take the tablets at slightly different times so wondering if that has to do with it. Or was it overdoing it by having a really full day the day before?

I've read the packet and it doesn't say to stop taking them if you get blurred vision. It does mention 'lassitude' which I guess is the 'happy'/lethargic feeling!

I'm not sure whether it's best to try and take less or more of the Avomine - if my body will acclimatise, or if decreasing the frequency is the way to go to reduce the lethargy.

Anyone taken Avomine before and can share their lessons learnt?

I was told to take it just before bed, ended up taking it earlier in the eve as thats when ms was worst. Took it for most of pregnancy until it stopped being effective and now on cyclazine which is good too.

Thanks icklekid!

Anyone else have any experiences?

Did you feel the same every day or were you a bit all over the place?
Could you work?
(that's to icklekid too if you check back!)

At first was same every day but then changed later on in pregnancy! I had a couple of weeks off work due to spd then reduced hours for a while- primary school teacher so active job. I also have medical history of fatigue so had to be careful. I am still sick most eve even on medication (38 weeks) but glad it's eve if was morning/during day would have had bigger implications for work! Good luck!

I tried avomine for around 2-3wks but it really didn't work for me. It made me very drowsy (whatever time I took it) and didn't stop my sickness. I was then put on metoclopramide which did work. But, you can only take that for something like 12wks, which I did.

Thanks :-) I'm finding it's not the miracle cure I thought it was on the first day.. think I will take it off and on so I can alternate between headaches and nausea!

Still, it's nice to have a break from that awful feeling of nausea like your stomach is in another country, probably another continent....
