Mosquito repellent when pregnant

Having managed to avoid as many chemicals as possible for the last 22 weeks, I'm going abroad soon and can't help thinking I'm gonna be a mosquito magnet with all this extra blood!!

The repellent we normally use is pretty strong stuff, I haven't checked if it's safe in pregnancy but I since is normally cover myself in it twice each evening I think it's probably borderline toxic! My skin reacts really badly to insect bites, huge swollen lumps etc... So I guess chemicals are better than getting bitten and a potential skin infection. But does anyone know of a really non chemically repellent that works really well?

Also, once I've been bitten I scar pretty badly and am left with broken capillaries in that area, and not because I scratch! If I cover it in anti histimine cream it's better, but not sure it's ok to use this in pregnancy either!

Hi
Have a look at one called Mossi guard which was the only one that I could find suitable for my son at 2.5 months old when we went away! It is all natural although quite strong smelling but he has also never had a bite whilst using it!! So it may be ok for use in pregnancy too.

I used a citronella spray from Neal's Yard that's totally safe to use in pregnancy. It was expensive (£12 or £14, can't quite remember) but was really effective and smelt so nice that all my family tried to steal it - I didn't let them at that price!

I used a natural spray from holland and barrat - black and green bottle, but can't recall the name. Was very effective.

Boots sell one that's suitable for pregnancy, breast feeding and babies, I bought it a few weeks ago as most others were only suitable for ages 6+.
