SPD worse or better once head is engaged?

Just wondered if anyone has noticed pain from SPD was any worse once baby head engaged?

About 10 days ago I was in agony and MW and dr said baby was engaged, pain has since got better and latest dr I saw said head was free again ( I know that's normal with second baby). It's now back to unbearable pain again and wondering if this could be due to babies head dipping in and out of the pelvis or just a coincidence?

I've also got pain when I go to the toilet - not like an infection but the muscles that you use seem really sore so am worried about pushing baby out if it hurts to wee/poo!

I don't know about effects on spd but I had pretty bad back pain until my babies head was engaged then I've had absolutely none since

I had pretty bad spd. Last month of pregnancy was hell. Once baby had moved down walking was agony. Even lifting my leg on to clutch driving was agony, I think mine was a combination of spd and baby pressing on every thing low down.

Sorry your in pain Hun spd was awful :(

My spd has got 10x worse ovet the past few days and iv had to give up driving because it hurts too much to do the clutch too. im 37w and it feels like baby has moved down

Another painful spd sufferer here.

Its a different pain when the head is engaged so as well as the sore hips and lower back and general shooting pains in the pubis bone, I now also have a constant throb down there and my upper legs have sudden twinges when mean I have difficulty walking and driving.

Have had to add my mum on my car insurance!

Do you have a bouncy ball? Pain stops instantly as soon as I sit on it. Which obviously doesn't help when walking down the street or trying to get comfy in bed!

Absolutely worse imo, I've been in a lot of pain since few days and midwife told me baby's head is well down, I can't walk, sit, get my legs up to get in bed, etc.
Really painful, I'm 34 weeks now. So not too long to go. But I'm very worried about labour because of this pain. I'm the sort of person who wants to give birth on bed rather than standing or whatever, but it's not the ideal position with spd :(
