Hay fever --- help!!!

I'm 34+6 and have horrific hay fever. I always suffer with this but usually am fully dosed on prescription medication as I get it so bad.

Is there anything that I can take or anything that can help during pregnancy as I haven't taken any medicine? I have an allergy reliever gadget that is supposed to help but it's doing nothing and I have put vasceline on the insides of my nostrils but still suffering...

I'm not even going outside much but with it being so so warm I have kept some of the windows open!!

Please help!!!!!

Nightmare - I'm in the same boat and have been given a nasal spray from my doctor which is helping...but it has taken a few weeks to kick in. I would go to the doctor and see what they say you can take as some stuff it alright.

Not sure where you are located but I found going to salt caves also helped me out - basically its a room full of salt that you sit in for an hour...truly relieved my symptoms! failing that get yourself down to the nearest beach for the day for a bit of respite as the salt air and coastal breeze completely gets rid of the pollen!!

Can you take beconase when you're pregnant? This is the first year I've used it and it's fantastic. Took about 3 days to work. I also use eye drops when they get itchy.

I've been taking one spray of my beconase in each nostril as required, generally daily lately, i checked with doc when i first went to inform of preg, now 28+6 so it's been fine with me, i also have a nastil irrigation thing, just uses sterile water basically, it's odd to use but clears out pollen. NeilMed it's called.

I don't know how effective they are, but you can but filter machines - no help when you're out obviously but might help in your bedroom and living room.

There are good eye-drops available - called something like Opticrom.

I'm in the same boat (40wks today) have been using Prevalin nasal spray and Optrex anti allergy eye drops. Both you can buy over the counter, the spray is quite expensive £7.00 but seems to be doing the trick -granted not as effective as normal antihistamines as you have to re spray every 4-6 hours.
