Just that really - any tips? I'm exhausted and this is DC2 so hard to rest in the day as DS is a v active 2 year old!

Even drinking water sets off the heartburn at night yet I also get v hungry but when I eat something and get back into bed the heartburn ramps up and wriggly baby kicks my stomach so I feel sick!

Getting soooo fed up of lack of sleep! What are your best tips or just come join me for a moan ;)

In solidarity, am sitting up posting on mnet with DC2 at 35 weeks, heartburn, carpal tunnel syndrome and horrible restless legs when I do go to try and sleep.

You are not alone! I have no useful tips but have not yet tried valium Grin

Ugh. 33 + 6 and up with restless leg as well...

Sympathies. I am only 25 weeks and sleep is ok still but remember this well from last time.

I found the most useful things to sleep were support for my bump and between my legs (so I used a long "pregnancy" pillow, but a couple of cushions would do) and, later on, behind my back. DP could hardly find me in my fortress of pillows…

Does your toddler still nap? Could you get a little sleep in the day?

didactylos and nyldn - could you try a glass of tonic water before bed (unfortunately you just have to dream about the gin bit!) Quinine is prescribed for restless legs so can be helpful. I have also heard potassium helps so a banana?? Not sure if that is a myth! I get cramps a lot at night but it is better when I am properly fed and hydrated before bed.

So the trick is to start a thread about not being able to sleep and then wait for replies :) I had to pop upstairs to the loo just after I'd posted (had been trying to get some sleep on the sofa) but when upstairs DS stirred and since we have squeaky floorboards I didn't want to risk coming back downstairs so snuck back into bed 'for a few minutes' to let DS settle-next thing I knew it was 6.30!

I get the restless legs too - been v contemplative of self amputation on many a night!
