I'm having a bad day. Just need to write it down. 31 weeks pg. Toddler 21 months. On crutches for a bulging lumbar disc.

The pain today has been bad. I felt so tired all day. And, hot. Had a panic that DH had been killed in an RTA and the police were coming to tell me.

Firstly Is toddler in bed? If not send to bed now and sit down and have a cold drink with your feet up .

Secondly big big hugs!

Thirdly, what's the situation with your husband? I don't really know what you mean is he in the army? If not have you seen him this evening and did that make you feel better? would you say your worry was rational or silly? If it was silly just put it down to hormones and give your midwife a call and let her know your starting to get a bit worried about things. If it's rational (ie if it could possibly have happened) then again big hugs and do anything you would normally to take your mind off it!

Flippin 'eck. You hero!

That sounds really difficult. Do you get any support off family or friends??

I'm only 22 weeks without back problems and find having a tot really challenging when I'm hormonal and boiling. Bless you.

Yes. DH is home and toddler is sleeping. I think it's hormones. DH was late back and I heard lots if sirens (we live near the A9 in Scotland - there has been a fatal crash today).

I've taken some painkillers and eaten an ice cream. Grin

I guess I'm worried it's more than hormones. I had post natal anxiety after DD was born centred around her safety/health.

Ps I have an anxiety disorder and find Cbt really helps with specific worry. It doesnt change anything but helps the anxiety escalating into panic iyswim

www.getselfhelp.co.uk is a really good resource Xxx

Don't worry, I often have a slight worry that it will be someone I love hurt when I hear sirens or see an ambulance going in that direction. I think hormones, pain, tiredness and the heat will make it seem worse and blow out of proportion.
Have lots of hugs with your dp now he's home!

Do give your midwife a call though, anxiety can get worse in pregnancy and you want to make sure you catch it before birth, as it could lead to further problems.

Thanks. Thanks

I guess I need to practice the mindfulness I was taught when I saw the psychologist. It just keeps coming back to get me after I think I'm fine.
