I'm roughly around 6-7 weeks pregnant but I have a strong feeling I'm having twins, I've had 4 single pregnancies & 3 Misscarriages but this time I need to use the bathroom nearly every five minutes and I wasn't like that with my others and I feel bigger that my dates and I am constantly napping after the afternoon school run. I've always been full of energy until the end of my pregnancies but something about this one feels like it might be twins I dunno did anybody else have these symptoms and learn they were having twins?

I had a feeling, and very bad sickness, no extra weeing though.

I've never had morning sickness with any of mine luckily, but I've noticed I need the toilet a lot more frequently to my previous pregnancies. My mum actually contacted me the day after I had the feeling telling me she thinks it's twins and so does my nan but I hadn't told either of them about it. I am curious though I just hate the waiting to find out if it is or not either way I'll be happy :)

Do you have twins in your family or your partner's family?

Don't forget that every pregnancy is different. All the symptoms you describe are normal for single pregnancies as well, and even if you didn't get them the first time round, there's no reason why you might not get them this time!!

I guess you'll just have to wait until you scan! How exciting! Would twins be welcome or terrifying for you?

It never crossed my mind but then I had nothing to compare it to. The more pregnancies you have the higher your chances are for twins.

Both sides have twins my partners uncle was a twin but his sibling died after birth and both my dad was a twin pregnancy that ended in a single pregnancy due to miscarriage of one of the twins and my mums sister was a twin that also resulted in a miscarriage of one twin. Honestly I'd be frightened because of space but I've previously lived in a cramped situation with four children. It was actually a shock to find out I was pregnant again but I think either way 1 or 2 babies growing it or they will be loved, my boys are loving brothers (when they don't argue lol)

I had a 'feeling' with my twins. No sickness at all though.

Lots and lots of peeing.

Fraternal twins are only hereditary down the maternal line due to hyperovulation - your mum would need to be a twin for it to pass to you.

Identical twins are completely random.

Your mum wouldn't have to be a twin, she would just need to have the hyperovulation in her maternal line. She might well, since your aunt was more likely to have been a fraternal twin - identical twins have much lower survival rates after one twin miscarries. Your mum had the exact same chance of carrying twins as your aunt, their mother, and you - either way.

I don't think I had any specific twin symptoms, unless you count feeling like I was hit by a truck for about three weeks.

I dunno I could be wrong about this feeling and honestly I don't care if it's twins or now either way I got 4 healthy boys and after my most recent misscarriage I'm just happy and still a little shocked to be pregnant again, I just find myself a lot more tired than I was with any of my others, I'll find myself nodding off on the sofa at lunch time and have to keep myself awake then again after the school run.
