My mw asked me to call her if I get a headache that won't budge. What could this be an indication of?

It could be an indication of high blood pressure which could be pre-eclampsia. Did she say your BP was raised at your appointment or any protein in your urine?
A headache could also just be dehydration - so keep drinking plenty, particularly in the warm weather.

I think headaches can be a symptom of pre - eclampsia along with other symptoms. I do think headaches are common though due to hormones, I seem to have one constantly Sad

My BP was fine on Friday and I'm only 10 weeks so is that top early for pre - eclampsia? I think I'm just exhausted and hot!!

I've had a constant headache for weeks due to my high blood pressure. My Midwife sees me on a more regular basis to keep tabs on it. It could be that she has some concerns about your likelyhood to suffer with something similar. Always worth keeping your midwife Smile

Thanks she's on holiday now so I'll just keep an eye on it. Am I allowed pain killers?

I was told, very Sternly that if I got a headache to take two paracetamol ( not one, that isn't a dose) and call doc if that didn't shift it.

10 weeks early, but no harm in phoning doc or midwife for reassurance and advice. 30 weeks would be considered early onset I think.

I got severe pre eclampsia, the scary thing about it is that a headache is pretty much your only symptom. And I didn't even get that.

I had dreadful headaches as I switched to diet drinks. Turns out even now diet drinks give me headaches I went back to full fat n have been fine since!

I was having about 5 headaches a week from around 16-21 weeks, I had my blood pressure tested and it was not raised at all from my normal (which is normally on the low side). I was advised to increase my fluid intake and not wait till I got thirsty before I drank.

I was taking a 750ml bottle to work at that point - I now take two of them and make sure I drink both during the day and the headaches have pretty much vanished. I was also advised to take paracetamol but have found increasing my fluid intake has solved the problem.

Ring the on duty midwife and have a chat. I was sent to the local clinic to have my blood pressure checked a couple of times. Id recommend this even if it's just to put your mind at rest.
You'll find that every ailment you have over the nine months is blamed on pregnancy and you'll be told you can't take anything for it. I swear my head could have fallen off and I'd be told it was just 'one if those things that happen in pregnancy'.
Hope you feel better soon.
