The baby is 2cm so I'm not sure it could swoosh! Feather tickle maybe (even then not sure) but swishing... www.babycentre.co.uk/9-weeks-pregnant

I know im probably imagining it. It was quite at the front. Like something just brushed across. I dnt really know how some movements feel as last time my placenta was attached at the front so I didn't feel much until there were actual acrobatics going on

Hey RachieS1986
This is my second too, and I am the same. Keep telling myself it is in my head, but when I lay down on my back or my side, now and again, I am sure I can feel it. I am 10 weeks. He says its gas, I think he is wrong! Smile

Im glad im not the only one. I like to think that it is. Makes it seem real as I keep thinking im imagining the whole pregnancy and that the positive test, sore boobs and lack of period must b something else. Can't wait until my first scan (2 weeks tomorrow) so it can b officially confirmed.

I'm the same! Had an anterior placenta last time so couldn't feel much at all, am 11 weeks now and am convinced I can feel something! The hospital don't think I have an anterior placenta this time Smile

First time around 20 weeks, this time prob 16?

hartmel · 10/06/2014 04:55

I know everyone says that at 10 weeks baby is to small to be felt.. But I don't agree.. with my first I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel him very often.
Now I'm 20 weeks with dc2 and I started to feel her at 9 weeks and at 11 weeks I got it even confirmed by the sonographer that it was the baby I felt.. And I have a posterior placenta this time..

I also asked my doctor who had two children (youngest 2 years old) if it is possible to feel baby this early and not get it mistaken with gas. And she said that some pregnant ladies mistake it with gas but if you once where pregnant and know the flutters feelings of the baby you usually can tell the difference between gas and baby

Congrats

I'm sure I felt kicks at 12 weeks this time but I have had nothing since then.

Scoobsmam13 · 10/06/2014 07:27

Oh RachieS1986 I am totally the same. Cannot wait for confirmation. Those are my only symptoms too (except a far thicker waist band Blush) and I am desperate for my scan date so I know for sure. Even did another text last week, just in case!

hartmel I am so sure it is baby I can feel (sometimes I can feel gas and I know when it is that Hmm) so I am sticking by my story, esp if the professionals have confirmed to you!

Exciting times all round Smile

squizita · 10/06/2014 07:52

...worth noting if anyone is worried that even with a 'normal' placenta, the normal time to start feeling movement is 16-22 weeks. That's allowing for 2nd babies (i.e. nearer the 18-20 weeks for a 1st, maybe 15-17 for a 2nd).

It can cause a lot of anxiety to hear of very early feelings and worry if you know you have a normally positioned placenta.

Hazchem · 10/06/2014 08:44

Well worth pointing out Squizita

I'm pretty sure my 12 week kick was "made-up" by my body. My last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage and I sort of feel like the 12 week kick was my body saying it's ok you are still pregnant. Probably a little bit of woo explanation for gas Blush

squizita · 10/06/2014 09:00

Hazchem some people do feel things earlier though ... it's just you sometimes see people very worried thinking that's the norm!

Lizzy1975 · 10/06/2014 21:44

I felt flutterings early on - can't recall exactly when, but before 12 week scan. I remember thinking 'it can't be' but was exactly like the first flutterings I'd had at 17 weeks in my first pregnancy. Congratulations.

RachieS1986 · 11/06/2014 10:59

I'm so glad Im not on my own. Scoobsman13 I was very near the other day to doing another test just to be sure as well lol.
Squizita, thanks for pointing that out. Wouldn't want to be worrying others.
