I had these when preg with DS2. Hellishly uncomfortable, but the good thing was they completely went as soon as I delivered.

The midwife was good however, and prescribed me a cream that she said she really shouldn't have as they no longer used it. Can't remember the name I'm afraid, but it was such a blessing. Also a cold compress and feet up when really got and itchy.

Thank you.I'm using a hot water bottle atm (I know I'm not supposed to...) becauser my whole bottom area hurts when I stand for a short while, I'm guessing that's the same as the cold compress? Although I guess cold would stop inflammation...hmm might give that a try then! I'll ask my hubby re creams he's a pharmacist so he might know of something actually. Thank you.

You may be suffering from (I think its called) 'pelvic congestion syndrome'. My friend had this problem and after an ultrasound scan was recommended pelvic vein embolisation as the best way forward. It was done under local anaesthetic and the problems have now all gone. I think she went to see someone in Guildford.She was very impressed with the results!
