So I'm a massive needle wuss, I have my 28 week appt tomorrow, was mentally prepared for the bloods i'm not as much as a baby with those now but the midwife sprung the Anti D jab on me (I'm B Minus I think) So I naturally googled and there was loads of posts saying it was really painful and the needle was huge. Cue massive panic.

Is it really that bad??!

goofygoober they gave you a choice?? They never give one, just the whole, drop your waistband a bit and WHAM! I bled a lot with 2 of mine so my backside was a regular pin cushion for the most of them.

I survived (as I'm sure you all expected....)
Just didn't watch, went in the arm, midwife told me I have "fleshy arms" (err thanks I think) it was a bit stingy and she put it in reeeaaaallly slowly which didn't help. My poor left arm looks like a pin cushion now!

Glad you survived!

It is quite a slow injection as there's a fair amount of it. I think it might be quite thick.

If your baby after birth is found to have a positive blood group you'll have one then too. Luckily my DS was negative so I didn't, am hoping no.2 is the same!

I think by the time I've managed to give birth, I won't be a bit bothered by an injection Smile
Soooo pleased it's over!

I'm choosing denial over that part, I know it's going to happen but choosing not to think about it til completely necessary, this is obviously the sensible and grown up approach :)

The midwife did say, oh I don't think an epidural is for you is it?
She's probably right....
