Advice re: sickness

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant, I am starting to suffer nausea and vomiting.

This is fine, I get that I may get these symptoms, however, I have 2 DC one of which is 11 and the other is 6. My 6year old is disabled and I am his main carer. My DH is fantastic but he works from 4am until 3pm, he does the school run in the afternoon and takes over everything after work so I can just relax.

My 6 year old goes to school for just 3 days a week and requires care from getting up the stairs to changing his nappy to getting on the toilet. He's a good boy and doesn't cause me any stress at all, he also has autism but luckily he doesn't suffer many meltdowns and is a loving little lad.

This feeling and being sick is making us all miserable, I'm not able to cook or take my youngest to the usual groups etc because I just feel horrible :-(

Do you think that if I go to the doctors and explain this they may give something to help the general sickness and nausea? I know that if I can just feel a tiny bit better it'll be much easier, I'm going to get some of those bands tomorrow, does anyone know if they work?

Doctor should give you something. I got stemetil no problem at all. I was being quite sick in morning and nauseous all day until one day I had mega sickness all day non stop. He also petted to sign me off work but I said it was okay at that tone of the pills helped. I was just less than six weeks at the time. Still taking pills but generally feeling much better (until today) and even not being sick in the morning now.

On the Sea Bands - I'm not convinced but did use them on 12 hour flight and then on train last week. Still felt rubbish so hard to know if they help much or not but worth a try!!

Thanks for the reply, I'll make an appointment for tomorrow.

It makes day to day very long and very miserable doesn't it!
