Flying to Australia at 32 weeks, am I mad?

I'm flying to Australia to have my second baby on the private system and I'm planning to fly back at 32 weeks. The airline can take me and I think I can get insurance. Am I crazy? Has anyone done this before?

I flew to San Francisco from London for a holiday at 27/28 weeks and found it very hard even though I walked around the aircraft a lot, had extra water, cushions etc. have you got some flight socks?

I don't have flight socks yet, but will get some. I'm also going to have a stop over in Singapore for a night to break the trip up. I may need to Medised my toddler though! How long was your flight?

Are you coming back after the birth? Presuming you have already considered/sorted out the passport/nationality thing? (I once tried to get DD into the UK using her Australian passport - what a disaster!!).

I flew transatlantic at 25 weeks, and used my airmiles to upgrade to business class. Is that an option? I got a lot more attention, a lot more space so that I was able to change positions and even sleep a little, and the air hostess brought me water constantly. Even so, just to warn you, it wasn't much fun. It's very uncomfortable and you get so dehydrated.
As others have said, please don't forget the flight socks, and get up and walk around lots.

my flight must have been around 10 hours or so. I took some knitting but I don't think that's allowed any more!

I flew from Australia to the UK and back when I was 28 weeks to 32 weeks. It was absolutely fine. Having said that I was not very big at the time.
The flight is generally crap anyway, there's no getting around that.
But flying when I was pregnant paled into insignificance when compared with doing the same flight with a 13 month old!
