Hi
Just looking for a bit of advice. I had severe preeclampsia with my first pregnancy and am now being consultant led this time around. Im 30 weeks pregnant and over the weekend have had a pretty much constant headache- although it could be the sun. Iv had some swelling of my ankles and fingers- although nothing major. I bought a home blood pressure moniter and not sure how accurate it is and over the course of the day iv had these results- 126/74, 130/64, 123/72 and 117/84. Do u think I should call the midwife or leave it until my next appointment which is just over 2 weeks?

I'd give the midwife a call and pop in to get a proper blood pressure check and urine test just to be on the safe side. Hope all is well

I delivered my first DD at 32 weeks due to PE and like you I'm bring consultant led this time. Whilst your symptoms could easily be explained by the heat it's definitely worth getting your BP taken by a professional and having your urine tested. I went to the GP a couple of weeks ago after getting lots of headaches. She sent me to the day assessment unit for observation and thankfully it wasn't PE but I was glad to have them put my mind at rest.

Thank you I think I will give my midwife a call tomorrow. If I hadn't had preeclampsia before then I don't think I would be that worried. I keep swaying between thinking im being ott to thinking im not. I delivered my dd1 at 33 weeks and it was horrible, but am under a really good consultant at the moment. Hope things are going well for u this time goldendaffodil

I'm exactly the same daisy always torn between thinking I'm being OTT and making sure I do the right thing. My experience so far has been that Dr's and midwives would rather we were over cautious given our histories. I keep being told it's not a problem to get things checked out. I wish you a healthy and full term pg this time around. xxx

I agree. Get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

Can you call maternity assessment at all? Not sure if they are open later?
