Is this pelvic girdle pain or SPD

I've for awful pain in my pelvis - all the area below my bikini line and between my hips. Had mild pain for a couple weeks, made worse when sitting down especially at work. Today it's horrible, so painful.

Is this pelvic girdle pain/SPD? If so what can I do to ease it? I've got appt with midwife on Monday, but just hoping someone can suggest something to help now!

If it's around the front and in the middle it could be SPD, anywhere else it's likely to be PGP. I have both at 17 weeks!!

My physio said until I'm 20 weeks there's not a lot they can do, however I was told if I'm really uncomfy, to wear something tight fitting, like Lycra cycling shorts or spanx (not too tight, don't wanna be squishing baby) Also try sitting on one of those rubber rings they give you for piles, THIS

I got some really good advice on how to stand / walk / sit / lie. Basically try to keep your legs together (cue lots of jokes about "if I'd done that I wouldn't be in this situation"), walk with small steps, and sit up straight with your feet flat on the ground.

You can buy a support belt (my physio recommended the nexcare one which I found at mothercare) the good ones are expensive and you should be able to get one on the nhs is you can wait.
The basic 'keep your knees together' advice helps (except in bed when you want a pillow between your knees.
The biggest help I had is an osteopath. This is my 3rd baby and I had SPD with all of them but no-one suggested an osteopath before. It is expensive (£40 a go, I go every 3 weeks but could make it less often if I really needed to) but she literally takes all the pain away. I then find is starts to get a bit niggly and builds up again slowly but no faster than it built up when it first kicked in. Given that it started to be difficult to walk at 15 weeks this time round, I was expecting to be on crutches weeks ago but I'm now 23 weeks and still able to walk the dog and haven't used the crutches once (although I got them from the physio initially as I thought I'd need them).
Look up the pelvic partnership website. They have loads of information and advice about it which I found helpful.

Ask yr midwife. I have similar pain, getting up is agony, but my midwife said it was just round ligament pain..
