Hi everyone

I'm 15+2 and am rhesus negative. I know if I'm involved in an accident or have a knock to my stomach I may need an anti-d injection.

I tripped over my feet this morning and slow motion fell, landing on my knees. As I was at the foot of the bed I was able to support myself slightly with an arm on the bed which reduced the impact. I didn't land hard enough to actually leave a mark on my knees.

As it's my first pregnancy, I think I'm being a bit PFB in my panic but this isn't cause to call my midwife is it? Blush

No, it's normally a knock to the stomach area. I fell down several steps landing heavily on my arse, everything was fine and dc3 arrived safely on his due date 6 weeks later.

I believe it's a knock to the stomach that's hard enough to cause a bruise that needs the injection. You could always call your midwife for reassurance though.

Thank you both. Deep down I know I'm being neurotic but nice to have reassurance.

Hope you (or your pride) weren't hurt during your fall cathpip.

No you will be fine, it's a significant knock or bang to your bump that would warrant an anti d. I've had a couple of knocks along the way but nothing that really hurt my bump or left a mark!
